While we are all practicing social distancing, we will be holding Sunday School on Wednesday at 7:00 - 8:00 PM over the Internet using a video conferencing app called Zoom. This page will tell you how to configure Zoom on your computer so you can participate in the Sunday School Zoom conference call.
What is Zoom?
Zoom is a conferencing application that allows many people to interact over the Internet with audio (using a microphone on your computer or by telephone) and/or video (using a webcam, the camera on your computer, or a smartphone with a video camera). You can find out more about the Zoom app at:
Zoom can run on a Windows PC, a Mac, a smartphone, or evey your web browser (Google Chrome Web Browser is best). It doesn't require a very powerful computer but for best quality you should have a broadband Internet connection. If you don't have one of those things, you can call in and participate with just a telephone, however, there isn't a local number so you might incur long distance telephone charges. The invitation will include the numbers you can call within the US.
How to Join a Zoom Meeting
Zoom has made it very install to install the software needed to joint a Zoom conference (aka a Zoom call, or a Zoom meeting). Generally, you do this by clicking on a link on a Zoom meeting invitation. This will open your default browser and ask if you want to install Zoom (or if you already have Zoom installed, to open the meeting in the Zoom application) and that will open Zoom and connect you to the conference. There are some videos on the Zoom website to help with this at:
