We are a congregation of Christians in the Baptist tradition. We look to Jesus Christ for our salvation, and the Bible is our primary authority for faith and practice. As Baptists we value the autonomy of the local congregation and the priesthood of the individual believer. We believe that the purpose of a local church is to worship God, provide for the spiritual growth of its members, and serve as a base for ministry to the community. One of our goals is to help believers identify and develop their spiritual and personal gifts so that these gifts can be used in ministry.
Schedule
Sunday School Classes - 9:00 AM
Worship - 10:00 AM (Nursery provided. Though infants, like everyone else, are more than welcome in the service).
What We Value
Jesus Christ -- His message, His work, and the impact He has on our lives.
The Bible -- God's self-revelation to us: inerrant, infallible, and sufficient.
Each Other -- Every precious, unique, flawed child of God who calls Mountain Plain home and makes ours such a wonderful fellowship.
Our Community -- God created the world and said that it was good. Then it fell. We like to think that Crozet fell just a little less than the rest of the planet.
Our Visitors -- Some stay for an hour; some stay for the rest of their lives. We treasure every one.
Connections
We value our ministry partnerships with several organizations, and we partner with the following groups. Please note that the Christian community is very diverse. Our affiliation with these organizations does not mean that we necessarily agree with every statement that they or other affiliating churches make.
